As an experienced food stylist, chef, writer and cookery presenter I have nearly 20 years of experience working in the food advertising world and in some very successful restaurants.
Above all I love food whether that's cooking it, writing about it or talking about it. Quite simply food is my life and has been from my youngest memories of cooking with my Italian grandparents.
I trained as a chef...
some 20 years ago. Having worked my way through the ranks in many of Manchesters' top restaurants I eventually opened my own restaurant before deciding to go into Food Styling full time. Since then I've worked with a wealth of clients on projects as varied as shooting TV commercials on beaches in Kenya to presenting English Asparagus cooking demonstrations in a field in Yorkshire.
My experience includes...
a detailed understanding of how to plan and prepare food for still photography, video or live demonstrations using a wide variety of cooking methods. I'm experienced at handling large complicated briefs and can manage and organise shoots, demos and events. I'm also highly creative and have an impeccable eye for detail. Most importantly at all times I am professional, enthusiastic, patient and generally a food styling god.
What I'm doing now
Now based in South East of England with my wife, daughter and dog I am working across the country and beyond with a particular focus on London. For shoots my large prop collection is at your disposal and I am happy to source props and products as required.
